About Us

The Ink Pad is located at 22 8th Avenue in New York City on the corner of 12th Street in the area of city known as Greenwich Village. A quaint shop, the only one of its kind in New York City, opened on September 12, 1998. It's name? "The Ink Pad". The owner, Anna Chiang (the first of three daughters of a retired NYC High School Art teacher, also named Anna) has been stamping for twenty years.

The neighborhood is ecstatic Anna has chosen to locate here. Stampers have come from as far as Canada and Texas to patronize her shop. Passers by who don't know what stamping is all about (unbelievable, isn't it?) seem compelled to walk in and check out the small but "filled to the brim" shop.

The Ink Pad offers demos and instructional classes. It is a wonderful place to find exactly want you want and "must have", a place to explore new methods and products, as well as a great place to meet fellow stampers.

The Ink Pad carries over 2000 stamps, from lesser known to the most popular manufactures. It sells a virtual rainbow assortment of every type of inkpad, embossing powder, and glitter, as well as kits, books, magazines and the very latest in stamping accessories.
