Gold and silver metal leaf enrich and enhance backgrounds, are easy to apply, and cost significantly less than expensive real gold and silver leaf. In this workshop you’ll learn ways to achieve different affects with meal leaf on paper, such as solid squares, broken pieces, and small shavings of silver or gold leaf. Once learned, you can use the technique to decorate picture frames, lamp shades, decorative boxes, and any number of surfaces in addition to paper; plus, you’ll have beautiful paper backgrounds to take home from the class.
Please bring to class:
Methyl cellulose glue, small foam brushes, gold or silver metal leaf, wax paper, flat craft stick to burnish the metal leaf, and several small sheets of paper (6”x9” is a good size). All items available at The Ink Pad by June 5th.
